Prep Time: 20 mins. | Total Time: 2 hours 20 mins. | Servings: 24

Ingredients

  • 24 Palmer® Fudge Bells (found in Santa’s Merry Mix)
  • 2 cups + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened special dark cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 2 1/2 sticks or 1 1/4 cup butter, at room temperature
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

Directions

Mix

In a medium sized bowl, whisk the flour, cocoa powder, baking soda and salt together, and set aside.

In the bowl of an electric mixer, on medium speed beat the butter and sugar together until light and fluffy, roughly 2 minutes. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until combined, then reduce the mixer speed to low and slowly add in the flour mixture. Beat until just combined

At this point you can form the dough into a disk and wrap with plastic wrap. Refrigerate for about an hour until firm.

Make

Preheat oven at 350°F.

Take the chilled dough out of the refrigerator and roll the cookie dough into balls (a little more than 1 Tbsp of dough each) and roll into powdered sugar. Bake for 10 minutes.

Allow the cookies to cool for about 5 minutes. Press the Palmer® Fudge Bell into the center and put the tray into the freezer. Doing this will prevent the fudge bell from melting.
