What's pink, tastes like berries and has a chocolaty center surprise? These yummy sweetheart cookies by Palmer - see recipe here for a special Valentine's Day treat!
- 1 Box Strawberry Cake Mix
- 2 Eggs
- 1/3 Cup Vegetable Oil
- 1 Heart Shaped Cookie Cutter
- 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
- 1 bag Palmer Valentine Variety Mix, unwrapped
Preheat oven to 350° F. Lightly grease baking sheet or line with parchment paper.
Combine baking soda with cake mix in a large bowl and blend together. Beat eggs and oil in a separate bowl. Add the egg and oil mixture to the cake mix and stir until cookie like dough forms.
Roll dough with rolling pin until flattened. You may need to dash dough with flour too so it doesn’t stick to your rolling pin. Using your heart shaped cookie cutter, cut as many heart shaped cookies as you can and place on cookie sheet.
Bake for 6-8 minutes and remove from oven. Place Palmer chocolaty assorted hearts in center of each cookie. Bake for another 5 minutes. Remove from oven and cool in pan for 10 minutes, then place on cooling racks to cool completely.
