Statement Regarding COVID-19

These uncertain times caused by the COVID-19 pandemic have created challenges for everyone.

As a member of our local community and national confectionery industry for over 70 years, the R. M. Palmer Company has always been, and remains committed to providing quality products while maintaining and protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, community, and business partners.

Today, that commitment is even more important as we all do our part to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  Everyone at R. M. Palmer is committed to this goal.  Our employees are practicing social distancing.  We have canceled large meetings, replacing them with conference calls.  Cleaning and sanitizing of our facilities has been increased.

We have an internal COVID-19 task force comprised on cross-functional leaders who are monitoring the daily changes in the spread of this virus and implementing actions based on the recommendations of local, state and federal government officials, as well as the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and World Health Organization (WHO).

In addition to the safety of our people, we have always placed food safety at the top of our corporate priorities, and that will always be the case.  The local, state and federal governments have included food manufacturers and food retailers on the list of businesses that remain open during this crisis to help ensure that our communities’ needs are met.  We are continuing to closely monitor events as the pandemic evolves, and are making decisions with everyone’s health and safety in mind.

We ask everyone to please do your part to help combat this virus and slow its spread.  Please take care of yourself and your family and loved ones.  If we all look out for ourselves and each other we can overcome this challenge as soon as possible.
